This is the first confirmed case of the gene editing of human embryos in the US and it gets scientists one step closer to the ability to create genetically engineered humans. Researchers in Portland, Oregon have used a powerful gene editing tool called CRISPR to create genetically modified human embryos, MIT Technology Review reported in an exclusive.

CRISPR, which is often compared to the cut-and-paste function on a word processor, is a powerful and comparatively new genetic engineering technique that allows scientists to make specific, targeted changes to the DNA of a plant, animal, or human. It’s relatively cheap and easy to use and has the potential to cure a wide range of diseases, such as muscular dystrophy or HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). But scientists seem to be using it to create designer humans and animals instead leading to ethics questio

In 2015, Chinese scientists used CRISPR to make muscled beagles. But even beyond the often-stated fear that gene editing will lead to a world of designer babies and “genetic have-nots,” CRISPR is still new and may have consequences we don’t understand.

Several countries have a ban or at least some type of regulation on gene editing in human embryos, although as the use of CRISPR speeds up in the lab, regulations, and viewpoints continue to evolve as well. Earlier this year, the US National Academy of Sciences said that editing the DNA of human embryos could be allowed in order to cure disease, with certain safeguards in place; and scientists are going ahead.

According to Motherboard, teams in China have edited human embryos at least three times, and earlier this year, a Chinese team reported another first: using CRISPR to correct genetic mutations in three normal human embryos. (Previous tests were done on non-viable embryos that couldn’t have produced children. According toTechnology Review, the US experiment destroyed embryos after a few days, with no intention to implant them.) Scientists in the US watched developments in China “with a combination of awe, envy, and some alarm,” Technology Review reported.

It looks like Americans were more than eager to try CRISPR for themselves. And the creation of a gene-modified human could happen anytime. Hopefully, scientists will use the technology for the greater good and actually cure viruses and illnesses rather than to create perfect humans in jars.

While big corporations like Walmart put on a PR front teaming up with Feeding America, behind the scenes is another story.

Mainstream media pushes the publicity for companies like Walmart, so that you can feel better about spending your hard earned money with the evil empire. Meanwhile, citizens take it upon themselves to tell the real story. Showing us what real journalism should be.

A Walmart in Celina, Ohio was caught throwing away very large amounts of good food. 2 to 3 truckloads of good, unexpired food. The video shows lines of shopping carts full of hams, roasts, hot dogs and other meats. Packaged food, canned foods, milk and even butter filling carts and dumpsters.

After seeing this video, a person should feel ashamed for shopping at Walmart. They prove to have no idea of what “live better” even means. This is no doubt a disgusting truth to swallow.

It is reported that 1 in 5 children in America are going hungry. Absolutely unacceptable! In Ohio, where the video was taken, over 653,000 children are going hungry.

As reported at Deprogram Yourself:

Nearly one in four Ohio children lacks consistent access to adequate food—that’s 653,410 Ohio children of all ages in every corner of the state.

Children are the future of our world, yet we are barely able to feed them. Hunger is a widespread problem, not just in the poor nations of the world, but also in ‘rich’ countries like America. It must not be tolerated and we need to act now.

Wake up America! These starving children need our help. What can you do to help? For starters, you could stop shopping at places like Walmart.

Between the worlds elite, filthy rich corporations, corrupt politicians and Hollywood scum, we could end world hunger by the end of the day. What is stopping us? All those that pretend to care, really don’t.

This subject is more proof that it is not race that divides us, but wealth.

In what many saw coming a mile away in the aftermath of both the Las Vegas Massacre and the Texas Church mass shooting, liberals in the government, with the help of their mainstream media allies, are now pushing what amounts to plans for gun confiscation, outside of normal law, for Americans across the country.

The new push for gun control from the left comes courtesy of ABC News which recently published a piece promoting the use of an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) that many believe is nothing more than a thinly veiled confiscation plan that would allow a judge to “issue an ex parte order” for the direct confiscation of an American citizens firearms.

Unbelievably, the order can actually be issued without the firearm owner even being present, which would in turn end with police at the citizens door demanding he hand over his weapons or face violence from the state.

ABC’s Andy Fies, on the other hand, apparently wants Americans to see the orders differently, painting a more friendly picture of the ERPO’s while quoting two different left-wing gun control groups as seemingly unbiased experts on gun violence

As of now, only Washington, California, Connecticut and most recently Oregon have ERPO laws (while Indiana and Texas have modified risk warrant statutes). Over the past year, however, spurred by a string of mass shootings beginning with the Pulse Nightclub attack that killed 49 in June 2016, legislatures in 19 states and Washington, D.C., have taken up 32 separate ERPO bills for consideration, according to Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit organization that advocates for gun control.

Everytown’s deputy legal director, William Rosen, told ABC News that list will grow. “We expect to see at least as much interest in 2018,” he said.

“There is a growing consensus,” added Lauren Alfred of the gun violence prevention group Sandy Hook Promise, “that this is the first step we should be taking when we are talking about people who are at risk of hurting themselves or others.”

Current laws barring gun ownership are limited. Generally, a person with a long history of mental health issues can still legally buy or possess firearms if they don’t fall into specific statutory categories such as having been adjudicated mentally ill or under a domestic violence restraining order. But, as was the case with Texas church gunman Devin Kelley, even these restrictions may not work if the person’s troubled past is not recorded on a background registry.

With an ERPO, however, if family members or police can show a gun owner to be an imminent danger to themselves or others, they can force the person to surrender their weapon(s).

Keep in mind that Everytown for Gun Safety is a Michael Bloomberg funded, left-wing gun control group that was created as part of a rebranding effort by the billionaire gun grabber after his previous group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, was outed by multiple former members as actually pushing an agenda of full-scale gun confiscation.

The Extreme Risk Protection Orders scheme seems to be nothing more than another attempt at slowly eroding the right of lawful Americans to own firearms.

As AWR Hawkins reported in an April 2017 article about a similar law being pushed in Oregon, “Oregon state Sen. Brian Boquist (R-Dallas) is pushing a confiscation bill that would broaden the number of prohibited gun purchasers as well as require certain individuals to hand over any guns in their possession.”

At the time, gun rights activist and NRA member Keely Hopkins rightfully described the law as an attempt to remove your Second Amendment rights by using a third-party who would need little evidence to declare you unfit to own a firearm. (Imagine a vengeful ex-wife/husband)

“This bill allows for a protective order to remove your Second Amendment rights, not because of a criminal conviction, but based on third-party allegations using an evidentiary standard that falls far below what’s normally required for the removing of fundamental rights.”

It is also important to note that gun control advocates and the mainstream media are using The Las Vegas Massacre, which the authorities are openly lying about (there were at least 7 different shooters) as a pretext to further take away Americans right to bear arms. This is, and has always been, the modus operandi of the power elite.

The TSA is moving forward with plans to gradually implement facial recognition and other biometric data into screenings at the airport. The agency began testing out the methods, which also include iris scans and fingerprints, on enrollees in their PreCheck program at two airports this summer. On November 1, they announced plans to expand the program.

The Pre-Application program claims to improve “aviation security by permitting TSA to better focus its limited security resources on passengers who are more likely to pose a threat to civil aviation, while also facilitating and improving the commercial aviation travel experience for the public.

Applicants to the program submit biographic information (including their name, address, and date of birth) and biometric data to a TSA contractor, which forwards the information to the agency. According to a TSA document posted on the government’s regulation website on November 1, in June and July of this year, they “launched a proof of concept initiative at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Denver International Airport to determine whether fingerprints from TSA Pre® Application Program applicants,” who volunteered to participate, could be used for identity verification.

Now, they are “seeking a revision to the currently approved request to allow for the collection of additional biometrics, particularly facial images but may include other biometrics such as iris, from TSA Pre® Application Program applicants.

According to the TSA:

“The regular collection of biometrics, such as facial images, will provide TSA with the ability to use those biometrics for identity verification at TSA checkpoints, potentially eliminating the need to show identity documents and improving both security and the customer experience.”

But some privacy advocates disagree with the attempted expansion. According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the TSA’s push to expand its use of biometrics is part of a broader push by the Department of Homeland Security to nationalize these tactics.

As the organization wrote this week:

While this latest plan is limited to the more than 5-million Americans who have chosen to apply for PreCheck, it appears to be part of a broader push within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to expand its collection and use of biometrics throughout its sub-agencies.

They noted that as early as last year, “Customs and Border Protection (CBP) used face recognition to capture pictures of travelers boarding a flight out of the country and walking across a U.S. land border and compared those pictures to previous recorded photos from passports, visas, and “other DHS encounters.”

In 2015, Vice News reported CBP was using the technology at Dulles airport in Washington, D.C. “Here we have a program where individuals are not suspected of wrongdoing and are engaged in routine behavior,” said Jake Laperruque, a fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology, at the time. “And they are being required to submit a piece of biometric data that could identify them later and that’s going to be retained.”

Though CBP previously said it would collect facial recognition data on all travelers, it vowed to delete data associated with US citizens. They have since changed their stance, as EFF summarizes:

Now the agency plans to roll out the program to other border crossings, and it says it will retain photos of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents for two weeks and information about their travel for 15 years. It retains data on “non-immigrant aliens” for 75 years.

These actions would be carried out without congressional authorization.

Though CPB initially said they would limit these practices to international flights, they are now seeking to expand them to domestic flights, as well. The agency “wants to create a ‘biometric’ pathway that would use face recognition to track all travelers—including U.S. citizens—through airports from check-in, through security, into airport lounges, and onto flights,” EFF explains. “And it wants to partner with commercial airlines and airports to do just that.

EFF has also raised concerns about biometric data being placed in the hands of third parties, including but not limited to airlines. DHS sub-agencies are sharing data with the FBI, and the TSA Pre-check program shares it with private companies it uses as contractors. For example, a company called Idemia contracts with the TSA and “now offers expedited entry for PreCheck-approved travelers at concerts and stadiums across the country. Idemia says it will equip stadiums with biometric-based technology, not just for security, but also ‘to assist in fan experience.’

Lawmakers are slated to endorse at least some of these activities, according to EFF:

As we noted in earlier blog posts, the ‘Building America’s Trust’ Act would require the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to collect biometric information from all people who exit the U.S., including U.S. and foreign citizens. And the TSA Modernization Act, introduced earlier this fall, includes a provision that would allow the agencies to deploy ‘biometric technology at checkpoints, screening lanes, bag drop and boarding areas, and other areas where such deployment would enhance security and facilitate passenger movement.’”

EFF, which is urging people to email their senators, summarized the threat:

All Americans should be concerned about these proposals because the data collected—your fingerprint, the image of your face, and the scan of your iris—will be stored in FBI and DHS databases and will be searched again and again for immigration, law enforcement, and intelligence checks, including checks against latent prints associated with unsolved crimes.”

That creates a risk that individuals will be implicated for crimes and immigration violations they didn’t commit. These systems are notoriously inaccurate and contain out-of-date information, which poses a risk to all Americans. However, due to the fact that immigrants and people of color are disproportionately represented in criminal and immigration databases, and that face recognition systems are less capable of identifying people of color, women, and young people, the weight of these inaccuracies will fall disproportionately on them.

Further, they pointed out how often information is hacked and leaked, questioning whether any government or private organization is capable of protecting private information.

But losing your social security or credit card numbers to fraud is nothing compared to losing your biometrics,” they warned. “While you can change those numbers, you can’t easily change your face.”

In a shocking development in the series of allegations against Alabama Republican Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore, it has now been revealed that one of the accusers has worked for Hillary Clinton and is a public supporter of Moore’s opponent, Democrat Doug Jones.

The allegations, published in a highly promoted piece by the openly Democrat aligned Washington Post, claim that Moore had a series of inappropriate relationships with several teenagers some 34 years ago. Although The Post repeatedly stated that the allegations do not include actual sexual contact, they are none the less shocking.

Now, after 24 hours of the mainstream media promoting the allegations as fact as well as establishment Republicans immediately demanding that Moore resign, we are starting to learn more about who the actual accusers are as well as their connections to not only Moore’s opponent, but the Democratic Party in general.

It turns out that one of the accusers, Debbie Gibson, is actually a “fervent” Democrat who has literally worked with the DNC as a sign language interpreter for both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Gibson has also publicly supported Doug Jones, Moore’s opponent in the Alabama senate race

Keep in mind that The Washington Post seemingly purposefully left this KEY FACT out of their “reporting” which one has to assume the “journalists” on the story knew about as it took less than 24 hours for independent researchers to find. Post reporters Stephanie McCrummen, Beth Reinhard and Alice Crites ALL apparently thought it was unimportant for their readers to be aware of this obvious conflict of interest. All three have also repeatedly discussed their hatred for both Trump and Moore throughout social media.

This alone should call into question the entire narrative around Moore, especially when you consider that The Post had already announced their support for his opponent.

For her part, Moore’s wife Kayla Moore, told The Activist Mommy yesterday that, “The Washington Post has been calling and harassing our friends and family, trying to find garbage. We’ve had people back home telling us they are getting phone calls and when they would tell them good things, the Washington Post would ask them if they knew anything bad on him.”

Amazingly, her statement lines up with a rumor going around Twitter that claims that a reporter for the Post named Beth (presumably Beth Reinhard) had offered a women in Alabama $1000 to accuse Roy Moore.

Note: this first tweet has since been removed.

A family friend who lives in Alabama just told my wife that a WAPO reporter named Beth offered her 1000$ to accuse Roy Moore????— Doug Lewis #MAGA (@umpire43) November 10, 2017

As Activist Mommy reported, “Go figure! This is exactly what Kayla claims has been happening.”

In a report about Gibson for Infowars.com, Kit Daniels noted the lawyer speak the Washington Post used in order to pretend that none of the accusers had anything to do with the Democratic Party.

Interestingly, when attacking Moore ally Steve Bannon for suggesting the Washington Post was politically motivated in its reporting, the newspaper implied that Gibson wasn’t “down with Democratic propaganda,” a statement which seemingly conflicts with Gibson’s political activism.

[…]

The Post also reported:

“According to campaign reports, none of the women has donated to or worked for Moore’s Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, or his rivals in the Republican primary…”

But notice the precise wording; it’s lawyer-speak. It might very well be true that Gibson didn’t donate or work for Doug Jones, but according to her Facebook profile, she did actively campaign for him, which doesn’t help her credibility and it should have been reported – yet the Washington Post conveniently left it out.

Make no mistake, this was purposeful deception.

While the allegations against Moore are obviously disgusting in their own right, one has to wonder if this entire thing was nothing more than a Washington Post fueled Democratic Party hit piece aimed at taking out a candidate that both the establishment and the paper itself are openly against.

What do you think?
